Angela S. Garcia, PharmD, MPH, CPh

Dr. Angela Garcia graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy in 2008 and completed a Drug Information Specialized Residency. She also obtained a Master of Public Health from NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013. Dr. Garcia has been in academia with faculty and practitioner appointments with NSU College of Pharmacy, NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and Public Health Program, the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy, Florida Gulf Coast University Department of Physical Therapy and Human Performance, and the University of Florida Master of Science in Pharmacy Concentration in Medication Therapy Management. Dr. Garcia has served as the co-coordinator for an international medical mission outreach program through Women of HOPE and the NSU Dr Kirin C Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been a guest series lecturer at the Kaohsiung Medical University and Kaohsiung Pharmacy Association in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Dr Garcia joined Sanofi as a Pulmonary Medical Science Liaison in 2025, and currently serves as collaborative faculty with USF Taneja COP.

Dr. Garcia has served in multiple leadership positions including on the Board of Directors for the Florida Public Health Association, Florida Asthma Coalition, Broward County Pharmacy Association, Pinellas County Pharmacy Association, and the Tampa Bay Pharmacy Association. She’s served on committees and as chair with Tampa Bay Asthma Coalition and the American Pharmacists’ Association. She is a Past President and Past Chairman of the BOD for the Florida Pharmacy Association, served on councils and has been involved in legislative advocacy since 2004, and received the Bowl of Hygeia for leadership and service in the pharmacy profession in 2024/2025. Dr. Garcia has held certifications in spirometry, tobacco cessation, and functional medicine to broaden her approaches to care. She continues to partner with regional organizations on grants, community interventions, educational initiatives and collaborative programming. Her area of clinical expertise is asthma management and other respiratory conditions including COPD. She has had clinical appointments with pediatric pulmonologists and pediatricians in Hillsborough County and continues to serve as a consultant pharmacist for ambulatory surgical centers.

Brian Stiles, BS, RRT

As a respiratory therapist living with asthma, Brian Stiles brings both professional expertise and personal insight to every conversation about respiratory health. With 24 years of experience helping patients manage conditions such as COPD, asthma, and respiratory failure, Brian has learned that effective care extends beyond clinical treatment. It’s about empathy, education, and empowerment. Brian's work in neonatal and pediatrics has centered on helping patients and parents recognize early symptoms and take control of their lung health through prevention, treatment, and lifestyle changes.

Living with asthma has deepened Brian's understanding of what it truly means to live with a chronic respiratory condition. Brian knows firsthand the frustration of exacerbations, the anxiety that can come with shortness of breath, and the relief that comes from finding strategies that work. This dual perspective of clinician and patient drives his passion for advocacy and education, reminding him that every breath is both a professional mission and a personal victory.

John Michael Prpich II, MD, FAAP

John Prpich, MD, FAAP, was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University in New Orleans and his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago. He returned to Florida for a residency in general pediatrics at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, including an additional year as chief resident, where he discovered his passion for pulmonary medicine. This led him to Denver, where he completed a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Colorado and spent two years as a research associate at National Jewish Health. He returned to Tampa and joined Pediatric Pulmonary Specialists in 2008.

Dr. Prpich is board-certified in general pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. He has presented internationally and lectured extensively on topics including asthma, interstitial lung disease, viral-associated lung disease, developmental disorders of the lung, and pediatric sleep disorders. He was one of the founding members of the aerodigestive program at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in 2017, which provides multidisciplinary care through pulmonary, GI, and ENT. As medical director for pediatric respiratory care at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, he provides leadership and education for the department and has developed clinical pathways in asthma, bronchiolitis, and croup. He is also actively engaged in teaching residents through the BayCare pediatric residency program.

Dr. Prpich remains passionately committed to improving care for children with asthma in his community. He serves as co-chair of the Florida Asthma Coalition and serves on the Gulf Coast Leadership Board of the American Lung Association. His interests include addressing disparities in asthma diagnosis and management, and providing education to physicians, healthcare providers, students, and families about asthma, its triggers, and appropriate management. His practice cares for one of the region’s largest high-risk pediatric asthma populations.

Dr. Prpich also serves as medical director for Aveanna Healthcare pediatric day health centers in Brandon, West Palm Beach, and Melbourne. He is a member of the quality medical advisory committee for Children’s Medical Services and serves on the board of directors for Sunshine Health. He is additionally a board member of Joy and Ink, a Tampa-based nonprofit bringing creative programming and wellness support to pediatric patients and their families.

JoJo O'Neal

JoJo O’Neal is a proud Central Floridian born and raised in Deland, Florida. JoJo studied Radio/Television Broadcasting at the University of Central Florida and has been a full-time radio personality since 1984. She has also spent 12 years part time in Television as a Production Assistant, and in Broadcast Operations as a Technical Operator at WFTV Channel 9 Orlando, an ABC affiliate.

After an asthma diagnosis in 2004, JoJo created the Let’s Kick Asthma Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization that educates, inspires, and supports asthma patients, encouraging them to live healthier lives by exploring ways to control the symptoms. As of March 2026, JoJo’s organization is rebranding as Asthma Warriors, Inc. but is still focused on the same mission

JoJo also serves on the American Lung Association’s Asthma Patient Advisory Board and travels the country attending steering committee meetings with researchers and clinicians from the ALA’s Airways Clinical Research Centers to offer patient-forward resources and ideas.

She was among the group of board members who traveled to Washington, D.C. in September of 2023 to meet with legislators to secure backing for the Elijah E. Cummings Family Asthma Act which would expand federal, state, and local efforts to improve care for individuals with asthma.

JoJo is a dedicated lung health advocate. Among her favorite quotes, “Breathing is bipartisan,” and “Breathing is fundamental.”

Julie Tremblay, PharmD, BCPPS

Dr. Julie Tremblay, is a dedicated pediatric pharmacist based in Fort Myers, FL, with over 15 years of specialized experience at Lee Health's Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Holding a Doctor of Pharmacy from Duquesne University and a PGY-1 residency from St. Joseph’s Hospital, she has to her current role as Pediatric Transitions of Care Pharmacist, where she enhances medication safety, provides medication education, reduces readmissions, and coordinates seamless care for children across settings.

Throughout her career, Julie has held multiple leadership roles including Pediatric Clinical Specialist and PGY-2 Pediatric Residency Program Director. In these positions, she has advanced pediatric clinical pharmacy services through protocol development, medication therapy optimization, and system improvements such as EHR and infusion pump integration, while actively contributing to interdisciplinary committees. A committed educator and mentor, Julie has trained pharmacy residents, supported program development, and continues to elevate pediatric pharmacy practice through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and education.

Juan Carlos Cardet, MD, MPH

Dr. Juan Carlos Cardet received his BS degree from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2004; medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2008; and master’s in public health degree from Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts in 2017. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of Connecticut in 2011, where he was given the Maxwell O. Phelps, M.D. award for scholarship, and the Hartford Hospital Outpatient Clinic Resident of the Year Award. He completed his Allergy and Immunology training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard University in 2014. He served as an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School, and as the assistant director of the Asthma Research Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital from 7/2014—6/2017.

Dr. Cardet is an Associate Professor in the USF Department of Internal Medicine, Associate Director of the Clinical Research Unit and Director of Post-Graduate Education for the Division of Allergy and Immunology. He specializes in the treatment of patients with asthma and other allergic and immunologic diseases. He is board certified in Allergy and Immunology, and he is a fellow of the American Academy and College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI and ACAAI). He is the secretary of the Asthma Diagnosis and Treatment interest section of the AAAAI.

His work focuses on mechanisms-based therapeutics for allergic and immunologic diseases with approaches that maximize health equity. He conducts clinical and translational research and has been awarded NIH K23, R21 and U awards as well as several industry-sponsored and foundation grants for his projects.

Katiana Garagozlo, MD, FAAP, ATSF

Dr. Katiana Garagozlo is a double board certified pediatrician and pediatric pulmonologist. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell where she also served as an affiliate fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Columbia University/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. She is dedicated to pulmonary care for infants and children from birth to 25 years old. She prides herself on a patient and family-centered approach to medical decision-making. Her clinical interests include children's interstitial lung disease (chILD) particularly the pulmonary complications of pediatric oncology and rheumatology. She is a distinguished fellow of the American Thoracic Society. She is heavily involved in quality improvement processes involving pediatric asthma at Muma Children's hospital and an active member of the Florida Asthma Coalition.

Kayla Stasik, RRT

Kayla Stasik has been a practicing respiratory therapist since 2008. She spent 15 years in acute care hospitals evaluating and providing treatment to individuals diagnosed with lung disease. During her time in hospital, she treated individuals with asthma in all areas of hospital care for acute asthma episodes as well as chronic asthma management. She has treated individuals of all ages for lung disease or respiratory concerns. Currently she is lead asthma educator in her role as a Lung Health Navigator with the American Lung Association Helpline.

Kellie Robertson, BS, RRT-NPS

Kellie Robertson, a Registered Respiratory Therapist with over 15 years of experience, in adult, pediatric, and neonatal care. Born and raised in Florida, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Cardiopulmonary Sciences from Valencia College and holds a Neonatal-Pediatric Specialty credential. In recent years, her work at Lakeland Regional Health has focused on pediatric and neonatal intensive care, where she collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Kellie is the Clinical Supervisor of Respiratory Care Services at Lakeland Regional Health, a certified Open Airways for Schools facilitator, Advanced Life Support provider, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program instructor. She is an active member of the American Association for Respiratory Care and has received Patient Experience Awards for her compassionate, high-quality care.

Nina C. Ramirez, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI, FCCP

Dr. Nina C. Ramirez is a board-certified Adult and Pediatric Allergist-Immunologist and Pediatric Pulmonologist with more than 35 years of clinical, academic, and research leadership in allergic, respiratory, and immunologic diseases. She is a recognized national speaker and Key Opinion Leader with deep expertise in biologic and inhaled therapies across severe asthma, COPD, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, atopic dermatitis, and other atopic diseases. Dr. Ramirez served for over two decades in private practice at Asthma and Allergy Associates of Florida and has delivered more than 600 lectures, webinars, and educational programs nationally on allergic and respiratory diseases. She currently serves as Principal Investigator at a South Florida-based research center and as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Ramirez is Past President and Executive Board Member of the Florida Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society (FAAIS), Co-Chair of the Florida Asthma Coalition, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (FAAAAI), the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (FACAAI), and the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). She is the recipient of the AAAAI Practice Champion Award (2023) and the Florida Asthma Champion Award (2024).
